Julianne I love floral flavors especially in chocolate. This bar contains whole candied violets in perfectly tempered, melt-in-mouth dark chocolate. Although the characteristic flavor of violets is naturally subtle, here it permeates the chocolate, influencing each nibble. Little bits of violet crunch every few bites in a delightful surprise, foreshadowed by the whole violets on the back of the bar - so I prefer to eat it upside down and save the biggest violet bite for last. I'm thrilled such a fine chocolatier in my home region carries a floral bar! It's my top choice of the Saratoga Chocolate Co line, hands down, every time - absolutely worth the slightly higher price. I tried to candy violets on my own and what a headache, they didn't come out nearly as well as the ones on this bar. Best to leave some things to the pros.
Although ingredients are on the label of the physical bar, please post them online here. My in-laws are lactose intolerant. I know this violet bar is milk-free (woohoo!) but I cannot order other varieties without checking ingredients.
