What began as an experiment in Alli’s tiny home kitchen in 2004 quickly grew into a deep and abiding passion for creating world-class confections. It didn’t take long for those confections to win over Hank, and after a decade of perfecting her craft as a chocolatier, sourcing the highest quality ingredients, honing her palate to perfectly matched flavors and dreaming up original recipes, Alli and Hank founded Saratoga Chocolate Co. The company is the culmination of their collective spirit of adventure, entrepreneurial drive, creative spark and love for food and flavor. 

Saratoga Chocolate Co. officially launched in 2016 and has been spreading the love ever since. Even today, each bar, bark, bonbon and truffle is handmade from the highest quality chocolate – single origin or blended – then hand wrapped and packed with care by our team. Each product is carefully crafted to satiate the body and indulge the senses.

Saratoga Chocolate Co. also bears the name and reflects the unique culture of Saratoga Springs, New York – our hometown. A long-time summer vacation destination, Saratoga Springs has drawn visitors looking to appreciate the creativity of its artistic community, admire the refinement of its racetrack contenders and absorb the health benefits of its natural springs. So, it’s only natural that Saratoga Chocolate Co. embodies the unique blend of creativity, refinement and nourishment that makes our home a destination people love to return to again and again.

Saratoga Chocolate Co. is a family-owned business, but it takes far more than the Rose family to keep things cooking. Which is why we consider our team of dedicated, passionate, creative, hardworking and FUN people working across every aspect of our business our family too.

It all starts with our production team, who take our recipes and raw ingredients and work their magic every day at our production facility in North River, NY to generate a steady stream of the confections we’re known and loved for. 

From there, our packaging team oversees quality control and packs each and every delicious product in gift-worthy packaging, while our order fulfillment and shipping team ensures each gift or order is delivered safely to your mailbox.

Out front, our retail and wholesale teams are the face of our brand in the communities where we sell chocolate. They answer questions, feed you chocolate and keep our retail partners supplied with plenty of Saratoga Chocolate Co. products so you can find them in a store near you!

New product development is a family affair, with input from customers and team members alike. We consider every customer and team member an idea generator and taste tester, who helps us find the perfect balance and flavor for each confection as well as imagines new ways to use our products.
